I will post our games on a weekly basis; honestly, I do not want to put too many stats (don't want to share too much), but I do want to recognize our kids. Not a bad first week, of course we would like to win them all, but we improved from the doubleheader to the game against Battle Ground, especially pitching. We definitely have to cut down and/or eliminate the mental mistakes though! Hang in there and let's get after it next week!
Go to the results and stats section to get the line or information on our first weeks games!

Everybody we are doing our best to get games rescheduled, but at this point we are playing catch up. Many of the 1A schools are in the heart of their league schedules, that is why it is difficult for them to nail down a date to play. We will start league next Thursday against Hockinson (@ Hockinson). We will do our best to reschedule games promptly and we already put Stevenson back on the schedule for Monday, the 28th doubleheader there!

Sign Renewal

Thank you to Stephanie Meinhold of Washougal Acupuncture & Herbs for renewing with us, I am looking forward to getting her a new sign (her sign last year was a 3 X 6 foot sign she transferred over from the little league park). We will set her up with a new 4 X 8 foot sign with a background of black windnetting that we are going to put on our outfield fence! Thanks again for your support and support for our younger baseball players in Washougal!

2 weeks ago we went through the process of interviewing and found a gem in Owen Sanford who will be our new Junior Varsity Coach! He has been coaching since 2005 including two stints as a Head Coach at Thorp HS (2007) and Yelm HS in 2008. In addition, Owen has gained valuable experience coaching the Applesox West Coast Summer Collegiate League (Wenatchee 2005) and the Flyers Collegiate Summer League (Vancouver 2007). I am looking forward to have him on staff and pick his brain how we can continue to get better!

Thank you Corner Cupboard for purchasing the first new sign that will be hung on our new black windnetting. We will have their sign up on the fence for the Spring and Summer season and then switch it over to the football field for Fall and Winter. Thanks again to the owner Jason Spicer for supporting Washougal High School Baseball!

I just entered our summer schedule as well. It has a good mix of tournaments in both Oregon and Washington and individual dates against some of the better local clubs as well. We may add some games here and there, but no more that 2-4 more games (we do have a few open dates).
In addition, we will also be looking at playing in the Fall again, it was alot of fun, but it depends on numbers!
